(FAMILYPROTECTION) Adopt? not easy at all. adaptation tips

My beloved readers and followers of this great initiative @familyprotection today I want to leave some brief advice that may help those who are in the process or have already been able to adopt an infant, this because I have been studying and observe that many times mistakes are made because of ignorance of what could happen. I hope it will be of great use to you.

    1. Be very patient and understanding throughout the adaptation process.

    2. Understand the behaviors of children being approached from an emotional point of view. The adopted child is not only not a child that they have not been able to father themselves, but also has other origins, customs and ways of life.

    3. Knowing the child's past is essential, as well as family history. This will help parents better understand their behavior and help them change their behavior.

    4. The child must feel protected from the very moment he or she arrives in the new home and must be as close to his or her parents as possible, as well as providing the least number of shocks.

    5. Limits must be set irrevocably and discipline must be applied whenever necessary, controlling levels of rigour and making the child understand that it is in his or her best interest.

    6. Punishments should never be applied with violence. On the other hand, conciliatory speeches are recommended, in which the child is told that his or her negative attitudes and behaviors are disappointing, but that he or she is not disappointed. It is also possible to implement deprivations to the tastes and activities that are of your liking, which will allow you to understand that in similar situations, you will again do without your pleasures.

    7. In cases of intercountry adoptions, when the adopted child is older and speaks another language, it is valuable to have at least a basic vocabulary through which to communicate with him/her.

    8. The family environment must be stable. Contact with uncles, cousins, grandparents, and other family members can get you into confidence much more quickly, making them feel more comfortable.

    9. The entrance to the school should be done with calm and patience. Many children feel that they are being abandoned again when they are dropped off at school before school, so try to make them feel that they have nothing to fear.

    10. There must always be signs of affection, affection and love. Physical contact should be constant through kisses and hugs, the main strategy for bonding.

It is true what you say the main thing is that they feel safe, feel the hugs, affection, mimes and kisses make them feel calmer. Little by little, with patience and care, without neglecting them, it will be a perfect match. The child or the girl should feel in confidence also with the rest of the family, everything will flow positively, there should be a lot of dialogue so that there is more empathy between mom and dad and son or daughter Blessings friend @pastorbastida.
