Dear CPS Social Worker,

I come to you as a person who cares for children and family. As part of the community I ask you in all respect.

Why do you use your position to break up families for profit?

I have talked to many people who personally have experienced the hardship of losing their children or spouse when Child Protective Services are involved in their lives. Families are separated and sorrow and loneliness enter their lives. Children do not experience life the same way as dreams are lost and childhood innocence is forsaken. Pain and tears are all these families know from the struggle with the CPS. So I ask you once again.

Why do you use your position to break up families for profit?

You are in a position to make a difference and yet too often profit and financial gain trumps the life of a child. Why does this have to be? At what point did money become more important than human life? At what point did greed take captive your heart?

Yes many a parent has cried in pain over the forced separation brought on by the CPS. Many a child has suffered in silence as they are torn from their siblings, surroundings, friends and community. As a result both physical and mental health has been compromised and for what gain? More often than not the end result is much worse on the child than their current home life. Foster parents do not care for the child with the same love that blood parents can offer. So I ask you...

Is the financial profit you gain really worth the misery that each family experiences?

I would encourage you to put yourself in their place. What if a government worker were to take a member of your family? How would you feel? Would you not fight the injustice to have them safely back again? Would you care enough to stand for them? Do you realize the pain that you place upon these families?

What can you do to bring families together?

This is a question that I pray you search your heart to answer. The desire to keep families together should be paramount in your interaction with families.

Let us protect the sacredness of the family and let us all work to unite each family member into one beautifully woven tapestry of love.
