Happy birthday Ading :-)

This is a special day for my Ading (younger brother) because it's his birthday today.

...In RETROSPECT... Way back when this innocent lad in a foreign land about to discover more in this company called Saudi Binladin Group... How time flies!
Plans and dreams were left hangin in the air because of uncertainties, most of them have left unfulfilled because of ... So many because... But it all ends up to one thing, certainly some GOOD THINGS NEVER LAST, others are really meant to be ephemeral. How time flies... and sometimes, journey has to end....

I copied this post from his face book wall. And true enough, I was reminded again that indeed, some good things never last. Anyway, this article is for you my dear brother. And I just wanted to say thank you for being the best brother in the whole world, Ading. I may not say this very often due to geographical constraints. But deep in my heart, Ading you are the best. Up to this day, you have extended your goodness and kindness to me by being the best uncle (titong) to my daughters.

I am the eldest in the family and I'm supposed to be the bread winner. But because you have a big and generous heart, you assumed that responsibility. You even sacrificed one school year in order for me to finish my degree in college. I was an incoming 4th year college and you were an incoming 1st year college. We came from a not to do well family and our tatay and nanay couldn't afford to send us both to college. So you paved the way for me to finish first. And up to now Ading, I will never forget your sacrifice. I owe you and I know I've never given back the way you've given me much to this day. You've sacrificed not only for me, but to our family as well.

You did everything to keep us together, and to sustain our family's finances, especially those trying times. You went abroad to work to give us a better future. We thought you couldn't do it. We thought you were not going to make it, but by God's grace, you did it. You have fought so hard to homesickness. You sacrificed so much that you were not able to see our tatay for the last time. I know the feeling, Ading. All of us here were hoping you can come back for his interment but that's life. Sob :-(

This is your birthday and we must all be happy to celebrate it. I am sorry for such an emotional introduction. You may be a thousand miles away from us, but that doesn't change a thing. We love you Ading. Our prayers for you is that the Lord will continue to bless you with good health and protect you every day. That the Lord will bless all the works of your hand. Again, have a very happy and blessed birthday!!!
