Enjoying An Unplanned Day In The Winter Sunshine
Saturday 9th December 2017. We had just finished breakfast; myself, my wife Sheryl and our son Robbie. We decide to go out to the church. Instead of coming home, we decide to enjoy some time in the sun.
We live in Sharjah, near Dubai. When we say winter sun, it is still warm. It is not too hot too enjoy, unlike some of the summer months.
First, we decide to have some pizza. 🍕 Then we will make the short walk to the corniche area.
Robbie is a lovely boy. He loves playing with his Mummy and Daddy. We intended to go to the park, but it was closing for the afternoon. Instead we walked towards the corniche to let Robbie crawl and give him walking practice.
I think he loves the textures of the grass and the stone. He won't stop crawling, which is good because we'll know he'll sleep well later. It gives us a chance to relax and bond.
We also give Robbie the opportunity to sit in the Rolls Royce car.
My only concern was how quiet it was out for a Saturday afternoon. A lot of people in the UAE will not go out until the night time. This is why around 86% of residents are vitamin D deficient.
It is important to spend time in the sun. It is good for the body and the mind.
It inspired my to write a blog about it yesterday.
