EOS ( Dan Larimer ) Plans Steemit alternative: A Strategic Competition
Steemit is undoubtedly the best Social Media platform in terms of revenue sharing with members ( get enough steem power and work smart at steemit and you will make it) however is its monopoly healthy for all steemians or is a tough competition from a business family ( @ned is CEO of Steemit, co-founder of Steem and @dan is co-founder of Steem, intellects behind DPOS, Bitshares and CTO of EOS) good for steem ecosystem?
Here are some few points.
Top Technology: Steem and EOS were created by the same genius mind ( Dan Larimer) however Dan left steem for EOS (created Bitshares too) .Therefore , this will be a tough one for steemit because Dan is a technological genius and according to him plans to use EOS as the coin and tech power behind the social media platform as steemit uses steem ( to learn about Dan, read my former post: Exposed: @Dan Hidden Plan To Take Over The World) . Moreover, according to @Dan the new platform will take care of all steemit limitations-. Even though this will be great for all members, on the other hand, is it possible to have a perfect platform? I don’t think so because even at his ingenuity, @Dan does have some limitations too and no platform can ever be perfect. Importantly, maybe @Dan wanted to take back the fight to steem due to the @ned plan to launch SMT ?
SMT (Smart Media Tokens): Steem (led by @ned) will soon roll out its SMT ( see my former post about SMT : Will Steem be Ethereum and EOS Killer ?) which will compete vigorously with Ethereum and EOS therefore we all are waiting and will support it 100% because it will lead to mass adoption of steem blockchain and subsequently, steem high price. Therefore we all await a solid and interesting 2018 and having a good alternative will be great for all of us isn´t it?

Healthy Competition is always good and welcomed. It will make steem ecosystem to be stronger and steemit will improve even faster. SMT will take the fight to EOS and Ethereum and EOS (ETH too) plans to take the fight to steemit...wow, more platform to make more cryptos...goooooddddddd thanks for sharing this my dear Charles1.
All projects which created by Dan, are very successfyl projects.
He created bitshares before and it succed and it was the first decentalized exchange based on wallet.
Then Steem and it going into more success every day.
Then EOS which I belive will be Etherum Killer :D
This is undoubtedly a risk for Steemit but steemit does have first mover advantage which is huge.
As you say, despite Dan's genius, it looks near darn impossible to wipe out every potential wrinkle in a social media platform. Steemit can still iterate.
SMT's could be game changing. We need to see progress on this real soon.
Finally, the fact that Dan has been involved in so much does suggest he might get bored easily. Who knows whether he will see through his plans for social media domination before another blockchain venture turns his head...?

i think this will be very interesting to see through. this year 2018 really holds some good stuffs coming which seems interesting. Both guys are hardworking but I see Ned as more focused on what he really wants. Dan is becoming Jack of all trade and I hope he settles and be master of one... :) but hey, great guys both...

First of all @charles1 sir good post ...Massive good points indeed and yes I agree totaly steemit is by far the best social media after facebook instagram etc its the best not because here we can earn some hard cash but best because here we build a community and see the peoples emotion as a post / blog but in fb or insta we see a post like or ignore building community is not possible their.. and I don't have knowledge about SMT will like to know more on that topic

All I know is that steemit will move far. The truth is that competition makes organizations strong and better. It helps them to bring out the best in them.

Well if he does come up with a social media similar to Steemit, I can try it, I wouldn't leave Steem for it either, I guess I would just use both, that way I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket.
By the way seems to be the way Dan works, he comes out with an idea, Bitshares, he creates a social media-Steemit, and then he goes on to create another coin EOS then another social media (Name?) and then he will just go on to create another coin. The man is a blockchain and crypto genius but his attention span is very limited, I guess he needs new challenges all the time.

Steemit and steem have a big advantage. They are first of a kind. And money will plague dan's new platform as well. And steemit will have 1 million users before dan's new one even launch. I'm not against Eos. These are just facts.
