Youth Hunt
This past weekend was youth hunt in Arkansas. My son and I had the opportunity to go to the same location I hunted as a child and still hunt on occasion.
We stayed at an off-grid cabin warmed with a wood stove.
No running water so the bathroom was old school.
It was one of our best weekends in awhile.
We were able to get some target practice in our first evening.
We were in the tree stand before daylight the following morning. A little before lunch at about 75yards this spike came walking up on us.
The next morning at 6:45am a young 5pt slowly moved in only 20 yards from us.
We had an amazing time and it was my sons most successful hunting trip yet.
Venison recipes to come.
Who else has stories or pictures of this years hunt?
This post shows the beautiful area we hunted.

Right on! Great shot placement! Great to see others raising true men too!!!
I couldn’t agree more the future starts with each child being raised right. I think the general public has lost touch with that truth. Thank you
Tell Timmy I said good shots
He said thank you and good luck on your hunts.
We went a couple of times during youth season. Saw nothing
There is a lot of season left don't give up.
Nice! I have not done any hunting myself but I do like venison!
No better time to start my friend.
Very nice, teaching the next generation!
I was so proud he did really good. He is at that age we’re he is talking it seriously and enjoying it all.
Great job! Looks good Tim!
