Faith And Work II.

The same thing can be said as regarding this woman. She had faith that God will meet her needs and believed that God can even command anyone and wield their hearts to her benefits because He is God above all, and she got just that. She took a step towards it, which is, she called in to the radio programme to share her faith. She took the necessary step and she didn't just sit back and do nothing.
Often times we have faith in God to do this for us, or do that for us and yet we sit back and do nothing. He said He would bless the work of our hands, meaning we have to do something, take that step, follow that promoting in our hearts and not just sit back and do nothing. Faith works by work.
Call on God but keep rowing to the shore.
Don't just have faith for something while you don't take the needed steps you are to take. Do all you can and watch God do what you can't. God is not a magician, He is a God of wonders. He is able to bless that little step you take and magnify it but He has to find you doing something worthwhile.
The woman who lost her husband and creditors were about to take her children, remember she had to go and search for empty vessels that make it possible for the oil to flow into. When the vessel finished, the oil stopped. She did something. She didn't just sit back and wait for it to happen.
2 Kings 4:3-6 (New King James Version):
"Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, "There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased."
Have faith for the impossible but take the necessary steps and watch how God would go the extra miles for you. Give Him something to work with as regards your faith. Moses has a rod in his hand and see the wonders he was able to do with it, through God's help. What do you have in your hand? Use it and let your faith rise to God to help you even further and He will. God doesn't like lazy. God even worked. He created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. If he didn't work, why would he rest? Do something. Whatever good that you hand has found to do, just do it. Have faith but don't lazy around.
