RE: My question to @ned for today's livestream. Any good suggestion to my question get's a 10% upvote.
Sorry but I disagree with the implication of the question ( in the short run) , let me explain:
Maybe if we had built such community based development bridges in past we can turn to them in current need , so it is certainly worth pursuing in the long run.Maybe even having a dedicated non profit dev org supported by STINC stake.
In the short run :
we need quick wins with shorter on ramp to execute.
I will copy/past my comment from the ned post , whose crux is basically , can we do goals which are not dev heavy , since the SMT date is already on the line :
Marketing is one thing that needs to be a LOT higher priority (IMO).
In my observation ( 1-10 scale) , we are almost at zero and there is a lot to show to the outside world ( Dtube/Musing/Actifit/Partiko/Sharetosteem/Steem community/so on..).
It wouldn't even take a whole lot of dev resources , so , can we atleast turn marketing up to 3
But what is there to market right now? For me the total package was a thing to market. SMT's with a turnkey blockchain. But those SMT's are now delayed as far as I understood it. I heard simple tokens being mentioned. That could be a short term solution to implement and market. Turnkey blockchain that is fast + own token.
Right now, I can only see Steem Monsters market their product once they have tournaments in place. It's a complete game that works with ownership of cards and a marketplace.
And the reason they can market this product is because they sell a product (cards). Non of the other apps have a product they can sell. It are mostly tools to create content, relying on the reward pool or delegation that's now worth a lot less.
Have you tried out actifit or musing ?
they are perfectly marketable proof of concepts , IMHO.
Look at this level of PR for the exact same product
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@itstime/mark-cuban-likes-the-idea-of-actifit
Why can't we do it for a finished and working product ?
