Money

in #exposure6 years ago

That's what the workers in the area of the following pictures make. Lots of it. It's a neighbourhood around a World Trade Center. And what does that mean in the 21st century? Nice lights and crazy architecture. Here we go.

11 Urban Green_Small.jpg13 Entrance door_Small.jpg
Okay I'm not doing it chronologically this time, because I wanted to see these 2 together. Both are entrances. One to a fancy bankbuilding, the other to our garage. Long exposure, zoomed in steps.

But this is how it started, yesterday evening.
1 Sunset Fred_Small.jpg
That building to the right, that's where we live now, for a year already. There was one of those crazy alien car drivers again. It made a turn.

2 Circle reflection_Small.jpg
I was drawn by this rounded window because from a distance, it blended into the sky. But it wasn't like that from up close. I did like how the straight road got bent.

3 No stress_Small.jpg
This one's called 'No Stress'.

4 Under construction_Small.jpg
The area becomes quite abandoned at night. This pictured represented the gloomy feeling of some of the places. Does it give a hint of the fate of this world? Possibly. I bet the apocalypse will be lit in green. But for now it's just under construction.

5 Perspective_Small.jpg
This one's fun because it seems as if the streets gets narrower. And it does. Remember this position.

6 Close_Small.jpg
Here's when the crazy shit popped back into my mind. I recently saw '2001: A space oddysey' in 70mm. That film is amazing, and breathtakingly beautiful in that format. Perhaps it subconsciously inspired me to do this : ).

7 Closer_Small.jpg
So I pulled it further. 2 positions. You can follow the instance where I moved the camera from A to B. I bet some crazy computer might be able to reconstruct exactly where I stood and how I moved. As my memory, for now.

8 Closing in on reflections_Small.jpg
This is just outside the super crazily rich area. Back among the normal people. With normal architecture. The 2 areas are neatly separated by a little canal. Can you spot it?

9 Angel style Small.jpg
There, an angel revealed itself.

Haha. Fooled you.
It's just one of those same buildings, but from up close. And upside down.

10 The hammock_Small.jpg
Remember when I asked you to remember this place? If not, scroll up a few pics. If you're able to do that with your goldfish fins. This is that place. After editing this pic, called 'The Hammock', I realised that there were very clear pixellated parts. Under the lower diagonal blue lines. Can you spot them? Assuming I did something wrong, I went back to the original. I saw them there as well! Turns out they're not pixels, but reflections of corner edges of buildings, copied by the long exposure, stepwise zooming.

Since I already gave the other 2 pics at the beginning of this series, just this one is left.
The moon is still_Small.jpg
It's called 'The moon is still'. It represents how, while the daily life of moneymaking may be hectic, the moon up there is rather relaxed in it's deadness. One could doubt if it's better off. And appreciate its beauty. Sorry if it's unsharp. I was zooming towards it. But I'm sure you can imagine a sharp moon. Try to see something in your imagination that you haven't seen before ; )

Quick grammar question: should you put a dot after a smiley?
