Foggy Saturday Morning Ride
I just finished a 45.788km cycle that lasted about 1hh:49mm:12ss !
Another great morning in Auckland to go for a ride.
No idea why, but Autumn seems to bring a lot of fog with it to Auckland. The negatives to this is that if you are planning a flight to a regional airport, there is little chance you will be able to take off or land from Auckland airport. On the bright side, it actually means there is not a lot of wind around which is pretty rare for Auckland. Auckland calls itself the "City of Sales" which is just a nice way of saying, its pretty windy all of the time...so these foggy Autumn mornings are the best time of year to get out onto the road in Auckland.
Anyway, even though I am concentrating on marathons in the near future, I kinda always looking forward to whats coming up next. This summer its time to get back to Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon, which means I needed to get my time trial speed back up again. I have doing a 16km time trial on Saturday's and this week, I moved that up to a 25km time trial. This week, my time was 58 minutes and 40 seconds, and will hopefully get this time down in the coming weeks.
