Move Your Body (Using an App to Log It)
It's summer, it's hot out, and people are probably most likely to veg out and not exercise. In southern Florida, it gets up to 95 degrees (F) almost every day, not even counting the humidity factor, so I usually do my exercise morning and night to avoid death by sun!
As a teacher, I have summers off (perfect to be able to post to steemit!) and so I've been waking up around 7:00-8:00am and going for at least 1.5 mile walks. I used to run, but have sadly gotten out of the routine. Today I began jogging a bit (you want to start slowly). I do the same walk usually at sunset for a total of more than 3 miles each day.
I use an app called Strava, which surely some of you are familiar with. It's one of the most popular apps for runners and cyclists.
Here is the interface: You have a map setting, and an active miles, mph, splits (for running) timer, and many other functions on this app
You have your feed where you can see people you follow and your own log.
Here is a map of a hike at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois from a while back.
You don't have to use Strava, there are tons of other fitness apps such as MyFitnessPal, Nike Training Club, Fitocracy, Runkeeper, Fitbit, etc.
