Arsenic Lullaby Blog- Steemit EXCLUSIVE and Comic-con International Day2
Continuing the daily log of exhibiting at Comic-Con International.
...Not much to report today. Things went fine, it was busy...is this going to be the year that nothing weird actually happens or is this the calm before the storm? I don't yet know. I do know that I am really tired and burned out from the stress leading up to the show, travel, setting up, and exhibiting ( talking to hundreds of strangers for two days) and it's only Thursday, so excuse me if I'm less than my normal charming and insightful self.
Going right to bed after posting this BUT, since I have no bizarre story to recount I am showing you my fellow steemians some exclusive Arsenic Lullaby stuff.
One of the CCI exclusives this yeas ( as I mentioned yesterday) is this fine squarebound edition containing choices stories from Arsenic Lullaby -The Big Stall- and the upcoming Arsenic Lullaby -The Devil's Only Friend-
This thing has some of my best work and weirdest stories ( Cthulhu arguing with a newspaper editor, Baron Von Donut's Xmass special, a Demon who ends up haunting a Ouija board and gets driven nuts by loser humans) including a BRAND NEW Voodoo Joe story! FIRST, here just a couple of short stories from that book ( but stand by for the exclusive!)
Below is just a excerpt from that story in which Voodoo Joe takes on an apprentice and proceeds to show the ropes to a doughy, seemingly hapless professor. The segment I'm showing below is towards the end of the full story after Voodoo Joe, and Ike, have begun "training" the apprentice. This has NEVER before been shown online!
Is this the end of Voodoo Joe? What will become of his zombie fetus henchman Ike? will the professor be able to take on the role? All these questions are answered in the collection, in case you're interested.
