SchoolForSDG4 has been closed due to unexpected flood in our locality.
We can't reach school anymore. The school is surrounded by dirty water. it is heavy rain going on in Bangladesh. Most of the cities and country area are facing the same problem. But here we can't open our school. We went to open the school but the water can be dangerous for children.
Close to school, there are drainage constructions are in progress and thus children can fall down in the holes. Also as the water covered the holes, children may not able to understand where they are walking.
Also, the water is so dirty that it can make them seriously ill. Last year, we have faced less flood than this year and so we should consider an unprepared vacation. The vacation will least until we see that children can reach school safely.
Not only @SchoolForSDG4. Here you can see the water is entering our house yard. In 2004, we had to leave our house for the flood. And I hope it will not happen again. If we face flood at our home, it means that most of the cities are affected by the flood. We are living very close to the river but still, we have less chance to face it seriously like other areas.
I hope all kids are safe and healthy. We don't know if it will be possible to take class tomorrow or not. We will wait and see.

Oh man, I hope it lets up! Hopefully when the drainage construction is done, it will prevent this from happening in the future.
My apartment building used to flood a little on the ground level and in the garage every time it rained - and one time it flooded the bottom garage all the way to the ceiling in a flash flood!! - but then they replaced the sewer pipes on the street on one side of the building, and we don't flood like that anymore. Now it drains better. I hope that happens for you all, too!

Let's hope so. Though they are living very close to us, the flood disconnected me from them but some are still in the area where no flood yet. I am sure many of the families got water at home there and hope children will get good attention from parents. Will try to visit again and if the rain stops, we should see a good situation.
