Monkeys are a term for all nonmemory primates ("pre-ape", like lemurs and tarsiers) or apes, both in the Old World and the New World. Until now known 264 species of monkeys that live in the world. Di Sumatera Barat, tepatnya Danau Maninjau, penginapan bersebelahan dibangunnya dengan hutan dan monyet dapat dengan mudah menanjakn pohondan memasuki teras hotel dekat kolam renang. Di perjalanan naik turun ke arah danau Maninjai, monyet monyet leluasa berkeliaran dan seperti menunggu makanan yang dilempar oleh pelancong.
