Sure - I've been in crypto since around the start of the bitcoin bubble when it was around $100 circa 2013 I think. I was following STEEM since I year ago when it was created....but didn't get in during the ninja mine when pretty much all the main whales got their stashes for very little investment required. :) This was because I've never mined so didn't put the time in to figure it out (I should have done!). But I made great returns in the last year on other crypto - ETH was the best, but also BTC, and others. So, I had enough resources from that to buy into steem over the period of the last year.
