We're currently in the midst of a huge crypto gold rush, with the hot new things being ICOs or "Initial coin offerings". In my latest video, I break down what's driving the huge spike in Ethereum prices + why we're suddenly seeing a surge in new ICOs popping up every week.

Cryptocurrencies have made centralized banking systems redundant. The only thing that I see stopping the worlds 50 Trillion dollar market cap from being funneled into bitcoin and other altcoins is the lack of insurance and lack of accountability. Once these issues are resolved, we'll be witnesses to the 21st centuries equivalent of the industrial revolution.
That sure is what it looks like to me.
You're right when it comes to insurance and accountability... I think another area there needs to be more advancement is in making it as simple and fast as using something like Venmo or Apple Pay. Consumers expect that today and if we want mainstream adoption, it's critical that cryptocurrencies can compete.

IOTA and the new generation of DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) coins are really interesting as they're fundamentally different from the Nakamoto blockchain. I'm excited about the implications for embedded devices :)
Some of them are good, promising too. But one day, SEC will regulate this too...
