As I understand it the price did fall to .10 on gdax although only for a split second. Yes this was due to human error, but it happened. I don't think that's fake news.
No, if you "allow" your ETH to be sold at any price, and there is an active bidder, it will be sold.
It is fake news when it's portrayed that the value of ETH as a whole became $.10
