Ethereum's Major Weakness, And you should keep an eye on it.

in #ethereum7 years ago (edited)

We have witnessed the massive price rise in ETH over the month, But that may end soon. (But can't predict in the market)
We all witnesses the price rising fro $250 to $400 in a very short time.
Are the Investor's getting Jumpy?

Over the month, many companies have launched ICO's (Initial coin offerings), Similar to IPO's. But the only difference in IPO's we have cryptocurrency. Each company have their own coins, and each coin is worth certain amount of Ethereum that a investor has to pay.

When a Company launches it's Coin in an ICO, they sell them and get a bunch of ETH in return. We all know that the Eth can be traded for USD or any currency for example. But most companies have not traded them. They see the price of Ethereum rising and are undoubtedly excited and are holding it to a point where the prices don't seem to go any further. Or at a point where they need cash.

Other coins can do something similar. Bitcoin can also be used in this way. But Ethereum's sole use case at the moment is ICO's and token creation. That may be a problem.

Ethereum prices will continue to rise as long as new companies continue to launch ICO projects, or there is no network split or bug discoveries.

Keep an eye on Ethereum.
While i keep you all updated.

I think Ethereum will run into similar scaling problems unless something is changed in the consensus model.

PoS coins like Peercoin may be benefitting from the scaling debate as workable alternatives for the longer run.

only time will tell.
I can only read and keep us updated

Very interesting point of view!!

Thanks for the info.

I've been seeing Ethereum adding more company's and more people interested , I for one think it's just getting started.
There are lots of different posts on it and I see this one showing all the companies getting onboard. Another plus is bitcoin is slower transactions vs Ethereum from what I've read.
But anything is possible...either way I believe bitcoin and Ether are here to stay. What do you think about this article?
