Ethereum Developments: Metropolis Byzantium Test Phase

The time for “The Byzantium” testnet launch has been announced.
This is the first of two phases for the Metropolis Network Upgrade for Ethereum.

If things work well the real network upgrade is to be launched around October 9 or later .
Depending on appearing problems or issues the time period for the test phase might change and will shift the actual date of the real Hard Fork further.
