There's a lot of new people in here getting interested in crypto. A lot of you haven't had any experience at all with how volatile these currencies are. Every bubble cycle people come in hoping to get rich quick & end up losing everything.
Take a look at this chart:
If you think buying here is a good spot then you need to pick up a trading book. Yes you may get lucky & it moves another $50. However when it corrects or even crashes it will be so violent & so quick it will take you by suprise.
People are willing to put thousands into something that they don't know anything about. That's telling me we are in serious bubble territory.

Yea man, I cannot justify making Eth purchases at these levels. Most of the time when the public is buying, the smart money is selling.

You advice is well received, in any investment, one must be very careful and calculative. I agree, it looks like now wouldn't be the best time to buy in, but I think newcomers won't get completely wiped out unless they buy now and then sell in a panic if it crashes. We've already seen a couple head fakes to the downside recently with pretty solid resistance at psychological numbers. There are some geopolitical events unfolding right now that might cause cryptos to do another moonshot in the next couple years. That is, if governments don't find a way to persecute users of cryptocurrencies. We'll see how all of it unfolds. My strategy is hodl right now. I just don't see any way for them to completely shut it all down. That said, my seed money is miniscule, so I've got very little to lose, as it should be with any asset as risky as cryptocurrencies.
That's the reason why we need to have some Financial Education in this and in every financial matters. I think that if we have a tool, if we learn the most we can about cryptocurrencies, then maybe we don't loose everything.
