Ethereum Most Likely To Get Two Major Updates At the Same time

Anyways Vitalik Buterin has hold us that the two major changes to Ethereum most likely will be released at the same time instead of spread out over the next few month.
These two updates being Sharding and Casper
Gasper
Will take Ethereum into POS instead of POW - Proof of stake (POS) Proof of work (POW) Example bitcoin is POW where you have to continue to maximize your hashing rate higher and higher to get the same rewards as compatition grows which is very power hungry.
POS a number of successful systems run on this already where you hold coins and create masternodes etc to manage the network and do transactions. You leave your wallet open on staking and your computer connected to the internet. Depending on how many coins you have will determine how other you might stake.
Sharding
Will split off chain which will be meganodes if you want to call them that which will house the transactions of an app. So for example Cryptokitties would have its own shared node that will handle transactions on its network. It will rarely need to hit the main block chain which would maximize speed and reduce fees.
These two systems launching at the same time would mine the network should be able to scale and scale fast without really any limits other then the amount of masternodes and POS going on. I honestly believe when these two things launch that flippening everyone has been talking about will happen.
What would of been 1,500 ETH to secure your own spot in helping the networking might now be reduced down to just 32 allowing many more people to actively take part in the staking processes. 32 ETH would go for about - $16,000 or a little less which is what most minor masternodes come in at. For a quick example DASH is 1,000 coins or roughly $250,000 to $300,000 to start your own node.
Now as to when this will happen there really is no news on that other then rumors suggesting it will happen by the end of this year. Which is only 5 and a half months away!
