ETH update 12.01.18
My last ETH update was only 25 days ago, but since then the price of ETH has nearly doubled. This is because of a huge extension in green wave 3:
ETH is being used a lot now as a means of transferring large amounts of money from one wallet/exchange to another. This is mainly because BTC transactions are extremely expensive and very slow right now. DASH, BCH and XRP received similar spikes in transactions because of this BTC issue. This will not end well for BTC if they don't fix the scaling problems soon.
But it could be good for ETH and other coins. Will 2018 be the year where ETH overtakes BTC in marketcap? I don't think so, but it is a possibility.
This is only day 12 of 2018, so there are still lot of surprises waiting for us.

I transferred some 0.57 eth from openledger to my wallet and it has taken 5 days for it to be credited and what I got was 0.56 something after txn fess. the network is still congested but hope eth will surge ahead as it should

What's your take on ETC? IOHK who is working on ADA is also working on ETC. Since it use the same tech but lower volume, ETC can become at least a cheaper and faster way to move money. I'm also very happy about the way EOS is doing. I'm not sure it'll overtake ETH this year. But EOS will certainly be big.
I like ETC , it is a stable, established coin with a small supply and I think it will double in 2018. But it is not used much as of yet. I think the number of daily transactions is low compared to other coins in this marketcap range. I never made an ETC transaction, so I have no idea if it is cheap and fast.
ETC is basically ETH without some of the later upgrades and DAPPS. There could be many who put money into ETC because of the positive sentiments about ETH. ETC didn't move much compared to ETH. So I'm holding a small position. Plus ETC is actively developed unlike DOGE. It's not dead yet. But it will die eventually.
