Rewarding Contributions to Billboard + The Creative Crypto Magazine Updates
An Open Call for Creative Content
Over the last 2 weeks, we’ve been building out a new feature for The Creative Crypto Magazine (@creativecrypto) - a submission-powered account of content focused on bridging blockchain and creativity [@cc-billboard]. We’ve already received close to 100 entries from global contributors and have consistently rewarded them with upvotes. All approved submissions will appear on a new section of the website interface called BILLBOARD.

Open Source - Powered through Utopian.io
The concept behind this website was to facilitate the development of more themed portals that use Steem as a backbone for tokenization and content sharing. Despite the integrated use of tags on applications like Steemit.com, it can be quite difficult to navigate the constant flow of material and present it to others not yet on the platform. Our custom “skin” for The Creative Crypto is a completely open-source front end, and we invite everyone to adapt it for their own purposes.

Billboard Goals
The aim of the Billboard feature is to develop a more community-driven utility on Steem and to capture a window into the creative energy behind the Steemit community. Our intent is to have Billboard become the platform on which Steem-based creators and organizers can post their discussions, blockchain-relevant work, host creative competitions, and so on. It will be a public facing design to attract new users and creative professionals into our Steem-powered world.

Building a Cross-Platform Community
To emphasize the mission of The Creative Crypto, the site acts as the meeting place between creative Steemians (Steemit remains the largest bastion of artistic and innovative professionals that have an understanding of cryptocurrency) and the entire blockchain ecosystem looking to draw on creative energies for their work. Through this convergence, we expect many more opportunities to be directly targeted at Steemians, and more creative professionals and companies being drawn into Steemit. Here are just a few examples of how that has played out over the last month -
We collaborated with the EverDragons team to create a branch of their competition on Steemit and resulted in dozens of inspired designs that were all put in the running for prizes, including having the final selection transformed into a digital asset! After the results were all tallied up, our very own Steemian @poppy-passion won with this awesome entry -
The Magazine Team is in the works to create more competitions like this with other companies and platforms. Part of any deal will be special prizes and giveaways for specifically Steem-based contributors.
Next, we have the pleasure of Introducing the art powerhouse Dada [@dadanyc] onto Steemit! They recently did their introduction post and we’re working with them to incentivize Steemians to enjoy the benefits and empowerment of their technology as well as connecting Dada-centric artists with Steemit and the creative community here. We’re excited about the prospects of this as it sets the precedent that Steemit and the Steem blockchain can be the global hub for all initiatives, regardless of underlying blockchain, to nurture an evergrowing crypto-community.
We hope you’ll get to know these growing facets of The Creative Crypto a bit more and even get involved. The decentralized future is approaching quicker than we expected and we want to mobilize everyone together with the emerging resources and opportunities. Steem on!

I sent in a post but never received a reply as regarding the @cc-billboard Magazine. I hope a more explicit post be made on this regard. Also, a better feed-back mechanism could be adopted to make the project more human-oriented. Thank you.
Hi @uyobong! Thanks for your feedback on this. And absolutely, we need to set up stronger methods to respond to all contributors. As of now, if the proposed article doesn't immediately relate to the arts (creativity) + blockchain, we will not be able to publish it.
