If you are a person that takes a lot of pictures in the day to day life and want to test your photography skills Steepshot is the Dapp for you. It is a fun way to share your cool and intriguing pictures to earn Steem. The platform allows Steemit users to post pictures and share it both on Steemit and the Steepshot platform. While we feel Steemit is a replacement in the Blockchain world for Facebook then definitely Steepshot is a replacement for Instagram in the Cryptocurrency world.

The best thing about the Dapp is that it is available on both IOS and Android mobile apps and you can download the app, connect with your steemit account through steemconnect and voila you have successfully registered your Steepshot account.

The app is really user friendly with features to browse top trending posts as well as the personalized feed of the particular user. The top trending page has three categories including. Hot Posts with posts that have a maximum number of user interactions. New posts featuring posts from recent users to explore and make them comfortable to the platform. Top Posts from the Pro users of the platform that have great earnings from Steepshot and are highlighted for their efforts, so you should definitely aim for becoming one of the top users.

There are two ways to view posts on the Dapp. The default view option with each post can be swiped down giving the user account and details of the post to be viewed. If you feel like just scanning through pictures you can select the option and only the pictures will appear in front of you with no details of the user.

Another salient feature of the Dapp is that you can get push notifications on your mobile, so you won’t be late with the replies on the posts, you can customize the notifications that will be seen options include Likes, Comment likes, Follower requests, all types of comments, new posts and even received transfers.

You can also customize what kind of content you want to view whether NSFW content should be blurred or you are open to it or do you just want high earning content or the app should also show low rated content.
Creating a post is quite simple, just click on the camera option that enables the phone to open the camera and you can take the picture at any particular moment, after taking the perfect picture you just have to fill in the details including the Title of the post, any description you want to add and the tags that you want to add for posting the picture.

You can also view your post on the Steemit platform under the blogs option, so this is an added advantage you don’t need an additional browser or tab in order to view the posts made on Steepshot just opening the steemit account allows users to see their posts.

Conclusion

For me the Dapp was fun to make posts of special moments happening around my life but I’m not a particularly photogenic person so I grew a little bored and went back to the traditional blogging on steemit. This Dapp is a real benefit to those users who take quite a few pictures of everyday life they can really feel at ease posting their articles. Posting picture particularly on Steemit can be a little hectic especially when you want the picture to be the center of attention, Steepshot.io is perfect for that reason. The user interface is quite fascinating with the pictures being the real showcase so people with photography skills Steepshot is a must have for posting pictures.
