Into the tunnels, finally

It haa already been almost a week since I sjared the last portion of my adventure towards the Chu-Chi tunnels with you. But finally it is time to round off this specific adventure and move onto other ones in the future. I am currently already in another country if you must know, but more on the how and why of that later. We were about to enter the tunnels.

The tunnels themselves were extremely low and very hlt. It was hard to breathe inside. Which is weird. Bevause in order to facilitate all kind of lazy and fat tourists a specialized airconditioning system was installed. Mind you, this did definitely not make for a comfortable hotel room vibe. Think of it more along the line of a 40 degrees plus sauna but with a slight airflow in between.

After the tunnels it was time to watch the mandatory communist victory movie dating back all the way to the 70s. And man were these guys angry at the american people. I sat there in awe of the movie which during basically 30 minites explained that a ton of american soldiers were killed during the wat and that they had no chance to begin with. And i am stating this in the nicest way possible. The harsh truth (from the Vietnamese point of view of course) was much tougher.

We did get some great food afterwards though :)
