#Wednesday Walk
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by @tattoodjay, The idea is to get out for a short walk, and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.
You might find the scenery familiar. It is because I have posted pictures of this place before. But the pictures were taken on a different day, and hence, although the venue is the same, the pictures looked different. This is the end of my walking route, where I turn around and head back. There is something about this scene that attracts me, and which I only realized now.
Firstly, there is no tall building in sight, and one can see into the distant sky. Singapore is a small island and the only way to build is upwards. Some people has called it a concrete jungle. Everywhere you look is one building or another. Looking out without seeing a tall building is a luxury.
Secondly, this is the direction where the sun goes down, and the play of the light on the clouds, and the water in the canal means that you more or less get a different scene every time you are here.
This was the scene on this particular day. It was rather cloudy and humid – every day in Singapore is humid actually. The sun shone through the thin clouds and the water reflected the sunlight. There was a light breeze and when the water moved, the light simmered. Quite a sight to behold.
The whole scene was just beautiful. I am not descriptive, nor eloquent enough to describe the scene that so captivated me. And the photo didn’t do the scene justice either, because it was captured on a mobile phone camera. It was quite a bright day but it looked dull in the photo.
Anyway, I hope you understand what I am trying to convey, or why I like this particular scene.

amazing scenery on a walk especially with all the buildings out of site as you've described.
Thank you for taking a look and for taking time to comment.
You don't need to describe to much, your photo tells how beautiful the end point of the walk is. It looks very still and serene. The gray blue hue is wonderful. I really like this shot.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I am glad you like the picture.
Yes you conveyed the scene and feeling well the feeling of tranquility of being away from the big buildings and congestion
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)

Howdy sir Vincent! are you trying to confuse us? first you say tall buildings are everywhere you look and then you show us an open horizon with not a tall bulding in sight!
