Moths

I did a post about Moths about 8 weeks ago. At the time, I was seeing a lot of caterpillars on the trees on a particular stretch of trees on the path of my walks. There are many variety of trees, but the caterpillars were feeding only on one particular variety. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the plant.

Recently, I saw quite a few moths on the trees and decide to have a closer look. Here are some pictures to share with you.

This is the type of plant the caterpillars feed on

As you can see, this plant is almost bare after the caterpillars fed on it. Luckily, the leaves grow back very quickly, and the tree is none the worse after a while.

There is actually a pair of them. I think they two were making out too. blush, blush..

This is the stretch of road where the moths are seen. It can be kind of creepy to see caterpillars feeding and stripping the trees bare, and cocoons and moths hanging from the stretch of trees if you are not a fan of creepy crawlies.
