PROPOSAL FOR CURATION OF A NEW TRAIL THAT WILL ENCOURAGE STUDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD TO JOIN STEEMIT

I'd like to start this post by thanking @jerrybanfield whose blog post gave me the idea to lay down this proposal of how I as a student can promote steemit to the world.
Students form a sizeable proportion of any population. On steemit, no curation trail has been created which is dedicated to helping students on the platform. I have come in contact with a lot of fellow students who felt that since steemit does not have something where they could speak about school stuff freely without sounding odd, they were not going to join just yet.
Let us be frank here, tags that trend on steemit are mostly those related to cryptocurrency and trading as well as some personal blogs of members who are immensely impacting the community like @teamsteem @jerrybanfield @andrarchy @janicehung @acidyo @eco-alex @joepary @yabapmatt @good-karma @dobartim This has kind of alienated the young and upcoming part of this community as we find ourselves out of our depths most times when topics are raised on steemit.

With this in mind, I am proposing that a new trail #students be created and curated to encourage us young ones to speak freely among ourselves on topics of common interest to us. If the #students trail is created, I am confident of the fact that steemit will experience a surge in the number of people queuing up for an account as well as the rebirth of accounts that were thought to be dormant or lost. This has the potential of being a way to promote steem to the academic community and you will agree with me that promoting steem in any way possible is a good cause.
Also, the presence of parley.io on the steemit blockchain ensures that students can easily draw the attention of others to posts elsewhere on the net which could prove to be of immense value to the community.
And while we are proposing a trail for we young ones, it is said and has been proven that education never truly ends. This goes to show that the #students trail could in time come to be a source of knowledge and fun not only to us young ones but to our elders as well.

I intend to curate posts having the #students tag and my sincere hope is that some of the influential members of this community will lend a hand to us. My upvote is not worth much but I promise to diligently upvote posts under #students.

@jerrybanfield explicitly outlined conditions to be met before submitting a proposal for funding. I know I don't meet most of the requirements but that is not going to stop me from putting this out there as I know it can bring about a lot of good. In addition, I intend going through due process when I meet all the criteria required to solicit for funding but right now, it would be nice if well-meaning members of this community help us out in whatever way they can to make sure students feel welcome on the steemit platform.

And to the students and youths out there, I think it is high time we start doing something for ourselves. I think it's high time we start benefitting meaningfully from being members if this esteemed community by sharing ideas and knowledge among ourselves.
It is said that no man is an island of knowledge. This is true. So let's turn out and start curating this trail which is meant for us.
