Why are children abused?
A pictorial explanation here about nature's care for children!
An explanation is required for a recent post about an Egyptian Goose sitting high up on a tower and I have decided to provide the explanation in pictorial style.
Only nipping outside today to snap advancing clouds, as the wind is now running at about 80 kmh and it will blow a skinny guy like me into the sea hahaha.
We have another severe cold front arriving today.
In any case here's some photos that I took on the weekend.
Hope you will enjoy them!
Many asked me why the goose was sitting so high up!
This is what the goose on the tower is looking after!
His wife has a tribe of goose babies!
While they wander around eating the dad on the tower has to keep a watch for predators!
But what are the predators? There they are! Some Jackal Buzzards circling high above looking for prey!
They didn't attack the babies and so, to steady your nerves here's something nice!
Mother nature's systems can so easily be revealed to an inquiring eye. Animals are known to protect their offspring with their own lives and many a poor human had the misfortune of ending up in nature between an enraged mother and her babies. Respect nature and she will respect you!
I always have a tear in my heart when I see how protective parents are of their children in the wild. We claim to be so much wiser as humans and we have so many more comforts. Why then do some parents abuse, or dump their babies?
We have so many of these cases over here.
Papillon has thus far worked with a few homes for unwanted babies and I think here of one home that made a delivery hole in their front wall, where mothers can anonymously dump their babies.
Yes, oh yes, I know there are many reasons such as poverty and survival, or unplanned pregnancy's, or for so many other reasons, but what about the abandoned little child?
Why would a father burn a child with cigarettes, or physically beat a child to death? Angry? Of course I am angry as no such treatment can be justified under any circumstances. We face a severe struggle here to protect children and gender violence is also rampant.
The lessons about love in nature is either unknown, or ignored.
Time for us to wake up methinks!

We are wired. We don't know how much wired we are. I have read somewhere that we try to pretend to be a gentleman and social but we are not in our deep inside. Maybe that's why. It's very complicated my friend!
Thank you and it is indeed very complicated my friend.
Most of it stems from bad chilhoods of the perpetrators, but drugs are also starting to play a bigger role.
Then of course alcohol is also a big contributor.
There are many other reasons , but no reason can be accepted for killing a child.
Pretense is an abnormal normal as most people wear masks when they present themselves to society.
They want to be seen as important, popular and accepted, but in the meantime their souls are screaming in isolated forests of insecurity.
Hope that you have a good day!
Blessings!
Yeah, it's a broad discussion. There's no reason to harm our own child. It's an abnormal behaviour. But people are doing this every day. 😞😓

A sad and debilitating situation my friend.
Blessings!
You raise a very valid point. We consider ourselves to be the only intelligent species - wrongly, of course - and sometimes we seem to be the most barbaric species on Earth.
Totally agreed with you my friend.
When people ask me what I think about the human race, I simply tell them to go and ask the wild animals what they think about us.
A recent experiment in the jungle took place where people placed fresh meat in a spot where the animals eat and they placed speakers that play human voices around the area. No animals came near the place and they all ignored the food.
Except for the rats of course, they came to eat and the sound of human voices didn't affect them.
Makes one think!
Blessings!
It is because of the high spirit of man that we experience those unnatural situations in our lives. Animals are part of nature and so they understand their role by instict, we evolved into sth higher. Capable of greatness but monsters at the same time. Maybe it is the fate of man..
Thank you Sir George and I am afraid that your are correct.
Man has become an expert at self destruction.
Blessings!
Indeed we can learn so much from Nature, the sense of family and community shown in most cases with nature puts us humans to shame
I think only deep persons are going to respond to this post JJ.
It is performing poorly and I can just not stay away from the unsavory truths in life.
I try my best to post kind and loving posts, but in our line of work we so often have to fight the ugly battles alone.
Not that I am complaining, as we are doing this of our own free choice, but I also have to get the truth out there.
Blessings!
You have to post what feels right for you, sometimes people find it easier to just gloss over and pass on from anything dealing with darker issues, perhaps because we have both seen so much is why that is not our way
True my friend. I think we have all became numbed due to continual onslaughts of mankinds stories of crime and horror.
Like blinkered horses we go through life in an attempt to preserve our sanity.
Blessings!
Yes and no I think many others have blinkers on and choose not to see the sadness and darker things around them
Your right we may have been numbed due to what we have seen but we still are able to see what is around us both the good and bad
Exactly my friend, they choose not to become involved.
There is a saying; A good man is no good if he only sits on his couch moaning.
Over here a man get's robbed in a street and not one passerby will help him!
Pregnant ladies have to stand in buses while the youngsters sit.
On and on I can go, but what's the use.
Blessings!
I know and sadly not just there it is common in so many places the world over times need to change and soon its a sad state of affairs
There are plenty of cases here as well, sometimes you almost can't believe that a parent would do something as terrible. Really makes my blood boil that such people had children in the first place...
We work with some angels that look after these kids my friend and some of their stories will make your hair rise.
@papilloncharity is also the patron of another Non Profit called Apples of Gold and they offer free trauma training to child workers.
Thankfully the courses are becoming popular as they are internationally accredited and we are starting to make some inroads in the communities.
But it's never enough is it?
However we cannot just sit back and ignore the plight that these innocent little souls have to suffer.
And so the next trauma training course is taking place right here in September.
We normally invite all of the NGO workers and others such as creche teachers, orphan home staff, police emergency workers and others to participate.
I know it's a small drop in the ocean, but we have to do what we can.
Blessings and thank you for the visit!
Man can indeed learn a whole lot from nature! I gasped when I read about that hole in the door, how absolutely horrid that this is what a mother could do! Certainly more humane than dumping the poor baby in bins and other horrid places! So very sad!
Those Egyptian Goslings are so cute as is Daddy guarding them from up high:)

Thank you my dear friend.
I agree that the hole in the wall is better than dumping a new born in a plastic bag in a waste bin, or in a stormwater drain, or wherever else so many of them are found.
But then again there are true stories of little children being killed by their mother's new lover and family members are often in the news for raping and killing tiny tots.
Women do not have it much better as stories abound about the murders and assault of mothers and girlfriends.
This world of ours is increasingly becoming worse by the day.
But we pray and we pray!
Blessings!
Thank goodness there are organisations like that and yourselves around!
We try my dear friend, but it's a huge mountain to climb.
Blessings and thank you for your kindness.
Nice photos!
Hope you have a great day and greetings my friend.

Very thoughtfully written and with the pictures you presented - Humans do think they are smartest bcoz of their brain but who knows
Thank you Vibi.
According to my thoughts humans are led by their greed.
They are no match for the truth in nature.
Blessings!
