Plotting my way to 10K SP - June
Having a goal for the year.
I think that all of us who are here now can see the future potential in the STEEM blockchain going forward. I've only been here since August 2017 but have seen a huge change in the chain since joining. Especially in the past six months we have seen more apps coming along, more people using them and a different purpose to the time that we spend using the blockchain. I know that i for one am totally addicted to @steemmonsters and @actifit using both of them on a daily basis.
We now have tribes being brought into the system starting with palnet and sportstalksocial. There is one for splinterlands and travelfeed as well so it's great to see the system expanding into new territory.
That is why I have spent so much time active and growing my account over the past year. That and the fact that i really enjoy the time that i spend operating on the chain. I remember starting out my journey here and the struggle to earn every single STEEM token. The amount of effort it took to earn every one of them makes me have a lot of value in them now even when it's less of a struggle. Those days I couldn't even imagine getting to 500SP let alone dolphin status which i have now. So that is why I want to push even further.
I like goals and targets. I find it easier to reach them when there is a target in the distance. Even in sport I do a lot better in competitions rather than training. I seem to need that focus to put in the effort to have something to win. That is why at the start of the year I set myself the highly ambitious target of getting to 10,000SP. It looked like a long shot at the time but i will do what i can to get there. Using my apps and keeping up a consistent effort at posting and engaging to steadily increase my SP every month.
The maths.
I took stock at the start of January and looked at my account SP which was sitting on 6580SP. I've kept up my activity on a consistant basis and have been involved with multiple communities which has kept me up to date and active. I think that it's the key to doing well here and I know that it's not always easy to but I think we will get there in the end to the blockchain that we are looking for.

- 3,420 for the year
- 285 per month
- 66 per week
- 9.5 per day
Results from May.
Glad to say that it was another great month of activity and somehow managed to power up 576SP. I haven't been as active with my posting and commenting as i would like to be but instead I have been spending a lot of time using the different apps and being active in other ways.
Most of my earnings have come from earning DEC on a daily basis and trading it on the market. By switching a lot of my cards to gold I am able to earn almost 5 STEEM a day while i do my daily quests. This combined with my actifit and daily posts have really started to add up. Pulling a couple of legendary cards this season didn't hurt either.
I did end up spending a lot of of time in discord as we chase Satoshi's treasure which has taken up a lot of time. On the plus side we are doing quite well and have managed to attain most of the keys available so far. We are about to target our latest key for anybody willing to join.

My big lament is that I can't be that active on here. My actifit drains my phone if on aggressive and doesn't track if it is not on that setting apparently. I need to learn so much but the 10 hours away from home a day for my job + hour commute are really cramping my style! Great accomplishments and goals!

Thanks. I had the same problem with @actifit so bought a second hand fitbit just because i was interested in it anyway. The app seems to track a lot better now with it's latest update so that might work out for you. My job is active so that makes for an easy 10k 5 days a week at least.
As for the rest it can be time consuming which suits me in the winter time but coming into summer I will be a lot less active with all of the real world activity I take part in. The good thing is that i can still post from my phone and do my steps every day so it can be quick and easy to keep going. A break is no harm either as it can clear the mind.
And I thought I was doing greatly! Outstanding man! well done
Good month alright but I think about 300 SP of it was from @steemmonsters between daily quests and tournaments. It's worth building a decent deck to be competitive. Especially with gold or alpha cards for earning DEC.
Keep pushing and you can reach it before the target date. ;)

That's the plan now. It seemed a huge task in January but a bit of luck and a few new earners have really moved my targets along. Should do it in the next few months now hopefully.
I have no doubt you'll smash 10k! Any goals for PAL and SPT? I mean it could come in handy if you want to power up your STEEM account should you fall a teeny tiny bit short
I'll be powering up all of my PAL for the time being as I like what they are doing with that project. It should be easy enough to build up your account as we are there from the start. I've no SPT yet but might get back into posting my quests to earn some. The way things are going it won't be possible to keep up with everything happening here so we will need to pick a couple and put our focus into them. The blockchain will be getting split up a bit with all the new projects. I'm a big fan of the sportstalk group and will probably do a good bit of posting over that side even though the token don't have much use. More for the content than anything.
