How to Contour (to Get the Perfect Oval Shape)

High cheekbones, a chiseled jawline, and a contoured nose: these are things virtually all women want!

Fortunately, they’re readily available to people who know how to contour. While many women find contouring intimidating, it’s not that difficult to learn. With practice and the right products and tools, you can nail the art of contouring in a hurry.

What You’ll Need

• 3 Foundation Shades.

The first one is your perfect foundation shade, the next is a shade lighter (for highlighting), and the next is one deeper shade (for contouring).

• A Brush or a Sponge.

Both work well, so choose whichever you prefer.

• Loose Powder.

This is used to finish and set your makeup.

How to Do It

• Use the foundation that matches your skin tone and apply it all over your face.

Blend it with your brush or sponge.

• With the darkest foundation shade, trace from your temples to the hollows of your cheeks.

You can find the hollow by sucking in your cheeks and making a “fish-face”.

• With your sponge or brush, blend the contour color, merging it with your base foundation.

• Use the lightest foundation shade underneath your eyes, in the center of the forehead, on your chin, and on the bridge of the nose. Blend into the base foundation.

• With your brush, dust your face with loose powder to “set” the look.
