To France under the exchange program. Day VI

On the sixth day of our stay, we decided to go north to the city of Montauban. There lives a family that we hosted two years ago. We have long argued about visiting this city. But in the end, all the same decided to go there ... I really wanted to visit the museum of the artist Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres!

The beginning of the day was overcast. But on the way I took a few shots of the landscape around us

The road was pretty easy. Soon the navigator told us about the arrival. Claude and Sophie live in a two-story house

I especially liked the kitchen. Claude said that he built it himself with his own hands.

We were waiting for lunch. In the role of the chef made Claude. The dishes turned out delicious!
At first there was pumpkin soup. Then there was a duck with baked apples and a bean garnish. And of course, great red wine

After material food, it is good to find spiritual food. A city tour was supposed to resolve this issue.

I must admit that the city of Montauban seemed to me inhospitable :-( Perhaps this is just my impressions. The wife said that she liked the city

To our great regret, the museum of the artist Ingres was under restoration :-( We were quite unlucky with the sights.

Well, we walked a bit through the historic part of the city. I especially liked this area

Sophie gave us a book by Alexandre Dumas. I think you can easily guess what it's called :-)

We had a long way to the south. Madame Christine was waiting for us. A year ago, she was our guest for half a day. But she really wanted to see us. We got to Christine's house in the evening.
I think Madame Christine will not be offended at me for sharing a photo of her living room. I really liked the old wardrobe. It is about 150 years old!

We still had enough strength to make a night tour of the city of Foix.

So passed another day of our visit. This day was very good.
