MEOS REX EOS

in #esteem7 years ago (edited)

So there's been a lot of conversation around the cryptosphere about REX, its an application on EOS that allows for passive income by staking EOS. I came across it a couple of times but it didn't make much sense to a noobynoob like me till I watched this video shared by rok-sivante this morning.

Yep, it has a very innovative concept and it's what most people in the cryptosphere will like to see. A way to make your holdings work for you, REX does just that, like steem power, except that unlike steem you don't have to do anything but to own and stake your EOS tokens. I also read in few places that it was almost the same way BIDBOT did their marketing at the inception of steem, offering investors a way to earn passively with their stake, though it didnt turn out too well for steem.

With Dan Larimers involvement first in Steem and then EOS, I feel he should be better positioned to do things better than steem did with EOS. There's also the rumour that finding one's way around EOS isn't childs play, I really wonder how tough that might be.

I have the minutest amount of EOS, I bought in the bull market at 12 dollar for one EOS, but sold at $4, who is the biggest looser, lol, as a newbie in the cryptosphere. So I need to work towards acquiring some as soon as possible, the thing about these other blockchains is that, as hard as it is to get steem, it's still somewhat possible to build your steem holdings from scratch. But these other blockchains don't offer such thing. Though in the news I read that it will be possible to acquire EOS through the soon to be released app on EOS, MEOS, the so called steemit 2.0, maybe this will make it easier for people who can't buy much to get some and stake on REX, well that's my plan B, plan A is to try to buy some before MEOS is launched anyway.

I know the future of steem is to be able to maximally stake steem to receive dividends and have influence in voting, but I also suspect that numerous systems like REX will be built on the steem blockchain with inviting investment deals, it is necessary that everyone does their own research to be well educated about where they commit their stake into, I hope to find more information on REX, I hope handling the entire platform wouldn't be as hard as I'm hearing it to be, so I don't have to sound like a broken radio from the future when I'm explaining the system to someone else.

Read about the REX? What do you think? Should Steem also have a dapp like the REX? Will you get involved?

I just bought an eos account not too long. Still, don't have a clue on how I would utilize it. Was planning on earning some trybe tokens but it's so complicated and the site isn't responsive. Looking forward to MEOS. I'm still very much a steem fanboy, so I doubt any platform will take me away from here but I don't mind exploring.

I share the exact sentiment, apparently there is also a Nuvo, interesting concept, but my blood is here, the technology is bursting my brain...but im very much open to new revolutions, I stumbled across another mad tech - skywire, they plan to build their own internet service infrastructure...mad. but all are plans...steem is actually plans with action...thats why we can see our errors....and move forward..priceless
