Simmons-less Philadelpia 76ers fell short by a single point to the Detroit Pistons after an outstanding performance from Blake Griffin. Blake scored his career high 50 point game performance along with 14 boards and 6 dimes and led the team for a total victory in overtime. Griffin also shot 50% beyond the arc after making 10 attempts, it is really one of a heck performance from Piston's all-star power forward.
Andre Drummond had an off-night after making only 6 out his 20 field goal attempts, but he make up for it with a solid defensive performance ending the game with 3 steals and 2 blocks. Reggie Jackson added 23 points to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
With the absence of Philly's best facilitator Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid produced an all-around game with 33 points, 11 boards and 7 dimes. As usual he have battle of trash-talks with his fellow east all-star Drummond.
Pistons improved their record to three straight wins and Blake Griffin prove something to all of his bashers.
"The past two or three years, all I hear about is how bad I am," Griffin said. "It's a big win, but we've got to move on. This is game three and now we've got to move on to game four."
