For a flashback, we discussed the sativa popping silver kush cannabis strain, and of course you’d trust the sativa to fill you with much energy and keep you high and creative, with over 20% THC, the cerebral effects of this strain is unarguable with it’s effects plunging you into a rare feeling of euphoria, it’s happy and energetic burst improves your sense of sight, colour and also hearing. The indica effects sets in after a while and gives your nerv s the amazing calm and soothing feeling that’s gets you down as cool as ever. Our traditional conception of cannabis are medicinal plants with potent cerebral effects capable of interfering with the cerebral activities and bringing a new feeling involuntarily, this effect is due to the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the principal ligand in cannabis plants, the effect of THC is principally cerebral and accounts for the cerebral effects of cannabis when smoked or chewed, hence The more the THC, the dankier the cannabis and vice versa.

The ACDC strain marks a remarkable deviation from this traditional perception of cannabis activity with a very low THC and a very high CBD, you’d want to stop reading here, but let’s keep it going, there’s more to it, my friend would always say no THC, no party I’m sure he’d be in intense enmity with this strain.

Produced via a cross-breed between ruderalis and cannatonic, the ACDC strain is a balanced strain with 50% sativa and 50% indica, however the sativa effects supersede at times and many would suggest a slight indica dominance. The ACDC strain is a high CBD strain with at least 8% CBD and about 24% highest discovered level, unlike other strains, it’s THC is unbelievably low, with levels as low as 1% and 5% on the highest. Hence the potency of this strain is unarguably nothing to write home about you’d feel close to zero cerebral effects and even the slightly dominant energetic effects of sativa could be hardly felt.

The ACDC strain is a highly medicinal strain and is popularly prescribed for medical purposes as the low THC implies that this strain will perform it’s medical tasks without tampering with your emotions, at least not much to be felt as compared to other strains, this strain is popularly prescribed for patients of multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and negative effects of chemotherapy, it also has analgesic effects and are good pain killers and can also be used in the management of anxiety. It’s Woody, pine and earthy scent is also a welcome flavour for the comsumers.

Certainly not your best choice of weed if you smoke for the cerebral effects of the cannabis, the ACDC is surely a waste of time if you smoke solely for this reason, consumers have also complained gastrointestinal complications and escalation of pain after using this strain, other complications includes seizures and alcoholism and worst of all, this strain have been warned to predispose consumers to cancer. It’s just not your choice of weed!!

Growing this strain is of moderate difficulty, experienced growers may find it easy, outdoor and indoor cultivation have been successful with a moderate yield of about 1-3oz per square feet of plant, flowering start in about 7 to 9 weeks of planting, delayed flowering may see the flowers come up after ten weeks of planting
