Nihari comes from the Indian subcontinent, its made of slow-cooked meat, (mainly shank meat of beef, mutton, lamb, or chicken) with extra bone marrow that adds some good bit of.

Bone marrow the main source of Nihari, is known for its flavorful addition into soups. It also has many health benefits.
Researchers find that it is linked to reducing the risk of diseases like diabetes.

Ingredients used for cooking Nihari are
Meat, Garlic, Ginger, Coriander, Onions, Yogurt, Salt, Wheat dough, Red chili, Bay leaves, Black and green cardamoms, water and refined oil.

Historically Nihari was meant to be cooked overnight, for about six to eight hours and was ready to be served by sunrise. It was most delicious when cooked with beef shank and veal. Now, mutton and chicken Nihari are more popular.

Great photos! That looks and sounds so good!

Am glad you liked it. It is equally healthy and delicious :)

I love cardamon and don't use it very often when I cook. This combination of spices sounds wonderful.

It tastes equally wonderful, people in the Southern Asian region like more spices in their food. It's unhealthy at times but delicious most of the times :D

I like most spicy food that I have had... Unless it makes my lips burn!

haha true, most people here are the same. But, I have allergies with spices so I try to avoid spices the most I can

Oh, it would be hard to avoid spices. Do you eat most of your meals at home?

Yeah, that's right. I do try my best to eat most of my food at home but spices are still an important part of any food here, either home or out. I try to avoid any many spices as I can, it's just not healthy with a lot of spices

Howdy there hananali! Well that sounds like a winner. Cooking like that all night has to give it tremendous flavor! And it has alot of health benefits too, can't beat it!

Hi janton, yes that's true. Plus the organic feel to it is beyond amazing. On festivals people still make it the historical way, like cook it overnight and then they share it with all the neighbors.

Howdy today hananali! Did you get any sleep last night? Who made that dish that the post was about, the food?

Looks wonderful.... must be delicious!

it is delicious and healthy. Thank you for coming over. Do you have any food blogs ?

It is... We have lots of North and South Indian food here too - I post on food off and on, not a regular food blog.

Food blogs are fun, the only type or one of the types that makes everyone happy. Keep posting :) It's nice being here talking
