Weekend Freewrite – July 27 2019 - Single Prompt Option – Mouse Droppings

I lived in a place with mouse droppings. They may have been rat droppings instead, but I do not know for sure. I was staying in an unheated garage for three weeks in a cold December and lost a shoe I loved when it got chewed by one of the critters.

This was a hard time in my life, and I had no idea what could possibly come next. Since that time I have surely had my ups and downs. I always try to enjoy the day I’m having and hope tomorrow will be a better day. Most of the time my hope comes true.

Even in that very dark December, I had a fortunate life. My computer and wifi would not work there, so I took a lot of photos I now love. This is one of them.

It’s a reflection of a water bottle in the sunlight coming through a crack in the roof of the garage. I was so excited to see this, and so glad I got the shot.

You might be able to see mouse droppings in the bottom of the photo, but maybe it is just dirt.

Good things happen when you never give up.
