Disappointing Results of INAP Acehnese Students

Hi steemians. How are you today? I hope you are very well. Today I want to share about Disappointing Results of INAP Acehnese Students.

The Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture released the results of the Indonesian National Assessment Program (INAP) for Indonesian students. Based on the results of INAP, it was shown that nationally mathematics, reading and science competencies of Indonesian students were lacking.

Indonesian students' mathematical competencies nationally amounted to 77.13% in the less categories, 20.58% with sufficient categories, and only 2.29% in the good category. These results indicate that the mathematical competence of Indonesian students is still very disappointing so it needs to be improved.

Indonesian students' reading competence still has not increased significantly. 46.83% of students' competence in reading is in the poor category, 47.11% with sufficient categories and 6.06% in the good category. Slowly but surely the reading competence of Indonesian students has increased. This is due to the start of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program.

Indonesian students' science competencies are still very disappointing. As much as 73.61% of science competency with fewer categories, 25.38% with sufficient category and only 1.01% in the good category. The low percentage of good categories of scientific competence is certainly of concern to all parties. Then what about Aceh students?

Based on the Balitbang release, the three competencies tested were not much different between Acehnese students and the national average. In mathematics competencies, 76.57% with less categories, 20.89% with sufficient categories and only 2.54% with good categories. The high percentage of mathematical competence of Acehnese students with fewer categories should not be left too long. We need to take concrete actions so that the mathematical competence of Acehnese students increases.

Acehnese students' reading competence is slightly better than other competencies. 46.52% of the reading competence of Acehnese students is in the fewer categories, 43.26% with sufficient categories and 10.04% in the good category. This fact requires us to continue to promote literacy among students. All of that won't work without the principal's full support. Therefore, the Department of Education must place people committed to running the literacy movement as school principals.

The science competence of Acehnese students is also no less alarming. 68.52% of Aceh students' scientific competencies are in the fewer categories, 29.47% with sufficient categories, and only 2.01% in the good category. This very low percentage in science competence shows that students' actions in scientific thinking are still very lacking. Science competence is not only the responsibility of the science teacher, but is the responsibility of all parties. Demands in science competence are not only mastering the subject matter, but how students are able to act and think using the scientific method in everything.

Reading statistics on mathematics, reading, and science competencies of Acehnese students who are still very low is certainly very influential on the quality of education. Therefore, Aceh education stakeholders must take concrete actions to improve these competencies in the future. Training conducted by professional organization teachers such as the Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) has been able to change learning patterns to become better and more enjoyable. The process that occurs in the classroom becomes more student-centered and fun for students. There is no harm if the relevant parties hook professional organizations that have been able to change this in order to improve the three competencies above for Acehnese students.
