"Parbatipur Railway Station"

Parbatipur Railway Station is located at Parbatipur police station in Dinajpur district of Bangladesh's Rangpur Division. Parbatipur Railway Station is the second largest in Bangladesh.

During British time, all railway links with Assam and North Bengal were done through the eastern part of Bengal. From 1878, the railway route from Siliguri to Kolkata was completed in two ways. The first one was 185 kilometers. And the second is a 336-kilometer meter gauge line of the North Bengal Railway that connects Saraghat with the Siliguri on the north bank of the Padma River. The 1.8-km-long Hardinge Bridge was launched in 1912 on the Padma. In 1926, the meter gauge section north of the bridge was converted into a broad gauge line. As a result, the Kolkata-Siliguri route was converted into a broad gauge.

2. From Parbatipur to Hilli - Natore - Sirajganj - Tangail - Joydevpur - Dhaka can be reached.
3. From Parbatipur one can go to Khulna.
4. From Parbatipur you can go to Rajshahi.
