Let me tell you the truth😆 I've never been to any Zoos😅 but I love to watch tv shows about animals. I read about Ostrich since I was 8 yo from a magazine, Intisari (an old magazine where I read so many things about the world) belongs to my belated Pakde (my mommy's brother in law).
I never thought that I will see and touch an Ostrich in my life with my own bare eyes and hand😊. So, when my hubby took me out to Godongijo and after we rode through the free entrance I saw an Ostrich from a distance and I almost screaming.

This is a common Ostrich, fightless and it ates water spinach now😯 almost all the animals at the garden except fishes and BOA have water spinach in their cage😐.
All I know that Ostrich is not kinda bird that you can find in Indonesia, you need to import it from Australia or Africa😊 I watched a story about Ostrich's survival during the hard dry season in Sahara Gulf.
What makes me wonder about this bird is its egg which has the same volume with 14 chicken eggs, I wish I could touch the egg too one day. Am I look like a childish person😆 well.. I am, I can't hide my excitement on anything new to me.
I'd like to be with the ostrich for more than an hour to watch it😊 but, I think the Ostrich needs to takes a nap too.

Ooohh.. I never knew that the eye lid was moved up to close the eyeball😊 silly me😂😂😂 and I find it amazing when the ostrich bends its long neck to its back, the ears looks like a virtual eyes. The beak.. whooaaa.. it has pretty shape😍
this pretty plumeria grown right in front of the Ostrich's cage and it smells really good.
Well... I have a new thing to brag about to my nieces and nephews now😂😂 though they can go to a nearest place to see tge Ostrich too. Yeaapp.. I finally found out that there is Ostrich in Jantho, Aceh Rayeuk, close to the Hutan Wakaf😊... Wish that someone would take them to see the Ostrich soon.
I love that you got so excited 😊 If experiences don't move us then we need to take a look at ourselves.
You are absolutely right @tryskele 😉 We don't have to wait for a spectacular view to get excited, just trying to be happy with whatever we have

why do you get to pet an ostrich there while I am in Australia and I haven't seen a single ostrich???? life can truly be so unfair!
