5 Years ago, He smiled on his 44 days old Happily, My Daud.
I love rainy days😊 I can stay inside and watch over old videos I saved on Google Photos, or checking on memories on facebook (why can't we have that kind of reminder on Steemit😯 while accessing the old posts is not easy coz the Ads almost everywhere under the posts. For a slow internet things.. it means lame😀.
I found the first pictures above on facebook few days ago. The baby on my hand is Daud, My Nephew but I considered him as My Son too😊. He's the only one who always put a smile on his face when He gets out of his bed from all 12 nephews and nieces I have. When I miss him so much, I put him on a video call or watch the video records I have.
Rain means life😊
My FIL asks me to steam or bake something for his afternoon coffee, I need to think what can I do with anything in the kitchen and the shop. So, I did a little research of simpliest cake in the world 😊 through www.cookpad.com. I just check on the ingredients and how to from few posts and then follow my guts to bake one😆.
I don't have dark choco block but I have expired choco chips😆 I don't have margarine but I have cooking oil. Great I have that almost expired choco powder😂. I don't have time to do the Au Bain Marie technique to melt it, I just heat and stir it till it well mixed😊
mix the 2 eggs and 8 spf icing sugar
mix the choco oil and the batter, add 8 spf self raising flour.
No parchment paper, no margarine but cooking oils, pour it into the baking pan and grate some cedar cheese. Bake it for 20-25 minutes.
Okay... I've done my evening pray when I think it's time to turn off the heat😊. I just hope that none will die because of that expired things in it😂.
The result😂 I don't need the knife to slice it.. because it's too fragile and soft😊 yaaayyy.. once again, I'm the Queen of Lucky Beginner!
As usual My FIL would said that I supposed to add margarine not cooking oil, but He ate half of the cake himself😂😂😂 He will never says "this is delicious" for anything I made. He has a different style to express his favour😊 and I like it. I don't think I could made the same cake anymore😆 and that's SO..SO.. Cici😊.

I'd love to send it to you if there is any leftover, but it seems like I need to stop my FIL from cleaning the plate, I only have my one bite when I took it out from the oven😂😂😂.. Thanks for stopping by @trincowski 😇

It's raining here too. It's not one of those days you just want to snuggle up with a book and listen to the rain, Off and on light rain. Still nice.
I have to admit, been frustrated the past few days, Trying to learn more about digital art and the programs. I have access to. I'm putting off watching a full on How To video, Right now I am just doing extremely simple things I knew how to do but have completely forgot. 💜💜💜
Thank you @tryskele ... I can count on my "furst time try always success" thing😊 if my guts let me skipped the expired choco and add the common flour not the self raising one, I don't thing it will be such a success (even my cats love it😂😂)

The choco is fine. Unless the chips are falling apart, they're still good and the ground is fine unless it turns solid and you can't break it up. So many things they started putting expiration dates on that don't need them. Like pasta and rice. Now if you pick up a canned good and it's bloated....that I wouldn't use. It will probably make you sick.
Yess... that's definitely made me keep using all those things to make this frugal cake 😂😂 darn it.. I just find out the right name for the cake after discussing about "frugal" with a friend on discord😆 .. he said the only expired thing you'd better never dare to consume only medicine.
Eating half the cake says “I like it”. The best cakes are usually the ones made with expired chocolate ( didn’t know chocolate could expire 🤷🏼♀️). You’re such a good daughter in law @cicisaja. :)
Choco chips does expired @puravidaville 😁 mine was 6 months already, but when I tasted it.. my heart told me to keep on going.. none would die with that choco😊.
You are right about "I like it" thougj he said I need to use the margarine not cooking oil😂 but He never refuses whatever I cook for him, so far.
Haha… usually it’s said the mother in laws are hard to please not father in laws… maybe he is just keeping you on your toes 😉.
Here most of the chocolate I’ve purchased in a store has turned pale when I open it. They say that happens in high humidity. At first I thought it meant it was expired but it tastes just as good :)
Well.. actually my Fathet in Law loves me more than he lives his son😂😂 he gave all his pension money to manage it. He doesn't ask so many things from me, He will eats whatever I cook for him for lunch and dinner, but He will makes a request for the Coffee Cakes😂😂. Alhamdulillah, Thanks God! I only have a father in law.
You are right about the expired choco, I saw it has white covered dust in the wrap, when I taste one.. it's fine😆 my fault.. I supposed to safe it in the fridge instead of the spices rack.
Any chocolates is safe to eat in my book. I bet you spoil the crap out of your Fil. I’d request those coffee cakes too 😉

That smile is so adorable, he looks small here 😁😁 i remember when i made a sketch of him, the young shall grow. Same here i see my nephews as my son although they do see me as their elder brother because they felt i am to young to be their uncle😂😂 so most times they call me Bro. Dan, but my very little nephews and niece call me uncle Dan ahhahahhaahaaah. 😂😂
Well.. Daud is already 5 now and He's still growing taller. He was so small when he's 44 days old but then he turns to be so big and fat on his 4-15 months old.
At least none of your relatives call you "granddad" like they call me Granny @iamguchidanart 😂😂😂
Ahaahhahahhaa granny lol😂 you don't look like a granny, but am sure maybe your teachings and moral advice made them to call you that, besides i am very sure you spend much time with them, but its actually funny for them to call you that, kids are so full of surprises😂😂

This must be an old recipe. margarine is a trans-fat and is banned as far as I know.
Margarine made of palm oil while butter made from dairy fat😊 it's not banned in our country.. we have "blueband" brand as one of the famous margarine in our country, now we have many new brands.
I though that palm cooking oil will be banned in europe too soon.. it's not because of the bad fat.. simply because palm tree can't grow in europe 😆
Ooo the cake looks really nice and soft. Your FIL shows his approval through his actions, not words 😁. Hehe you are not the only one who uses expired ingredients. If I smell and taste them and they still taste alright, it is good to go but I usually only use them for myself. If anything were to happen, i suffer myself. Hehe.
