Poem - Darkness and Light
"Darkness and Light"
Fighting against the tendrils of darkness
That is trying to drag him into the shadows
And despite his strong will, his heart
Is about to give in—to let the darkness
Consume his weary self—yet for some reason
Strength returned to his tired body
Giving him renewed strength—renewed resolve
And so the struggle continues
A never-ending battle between a man
and the ever-encroaching darkness
Days in, days out, the quagmire of darkness
Never stops—uncountable tendrils
Forcing one's heart to give in to desires
To fall to depravity—into darkness's embrace
DO you have the will to fight back?
Will you let darkness consume the light?
Can you struggle until the end?
To fight a never-ending fight?
Or will you fall to your desires
—To fall to the dark?
The Struggle between Darkness
And Light continues....
