Buddy: App Development Automation Realized
Overview
Developing apps is a very time-consuming process. To develop a decent application with an arsenal of function usually takes months, or even years. Not only that, it also requires a lot of manpower and funds, this is especially true for games. Of course, it's possible to develop applications in a matter of days, with very little budget. But such applications have very limited functions, and are mediocre.
Now, if there is a system that allows developers and companies to automate app development and reduce cost at the same time wouldn't it be great? Actually such systems do exist. For example, the "RPG Maker" franchise allows non-programmer to create their very own rpg games. The program itself uses a simplified programming languages that allows its users with very little coding capability to code their very battle system or such.
The downside to using such application is that the users have very little room to maneuver. For example most users will only be able to use the most basic sprites, battle system and interface. More advance users can create their own but that would be very time-consuming. Worst yet, games created by such applications have very little commercial value, meaning they cannot be sold.
Fortunately, there really is a true system that allows the automation of app development, and it is called Buddy.
What is Buddy?
Buddy network is a decentralized platform that aims to remove the tedious and time-consuming process of app and Dapp development. Established in 2015, Buddy is a platform that manages to built up trust over the years.
Since its inception, Buddy had proven that development automation is possible and doable. In fact the people behind Buddy are so good with what they do that they'd manages to partner with known companies and corporations in the industry, this include the industry giants like Google and Microsoft!
Buddy can also be used to develop complex projects on the EOS network. Using Buddy, developers can easily automate the testing of the integrity and security of an EOSIO smart contracts, thus the tedious process of testing it manually can be avoided.
The system behind Buddy
Automation Marketplace
- The automation marketplace is the place within the platform where developers can sell their tools to users or other developers.
Think of it as the Appstore or the Playstore made specifically for developers. The marketplace uses Buddy's own cryptocurrency known as the BUD tokens.
Automation GRID
- The automation GRID consist of the Private Automation GRID and Shared Automation GRID. They are instances that can be run by themselves (standalone) or simultaneously. Both have the same function, except the Shared Automation GRID is usually used to lighten the load of resource extensive applications. Despite this, both are essentials to the platform.
BlockchainOps
- The BlockchainOps are the scripts responsible for the automation of tedious and repetitive process in Dapps development. These tedious process includes the deployment and maintenance of applications. All of these will be done without the assistant of the developers, therefore, they can just focus on the core products.
Buddy's BUD Tokens
Buddy is not just a platform for app development automation. It is a platform with it's very own economics. Unlike the program like RPG Maker that only take its users hardwork without actually giving them anything, Buddy rewards its users for their hardwork.
The BUD tokens can be used to avail if the services offered by the platform or to buy tools from thr automation marketplace. The token can be earned by selling tools or services. Casual users can buy BUD's with either fiat or other cryptocurrencies. BUD's are also be converted to fiat or other cryptocurrencies.
Afterwords
Buddy is a platform that had already proven itself. It showed the world that app development automation is doable, and its usefulness is undeniable. Buddy had already paved the road to an automated industry, and is miles ahead of its nearest competitor. What's more Buddy has no plan to stop and is constantly improving, thus those who wish to compete with it have long and tough road ahead of them.
