"Bak Cirih" that's how people in my village call it. I do not know what the name of this plant is in Malay or Latin / English. This plant lives in the swamps, the leaves are wide and the flowers are quite large. The fruit consists of cross sections filled with seeds. It seems sweet seeds when young, but when the old seeds hard and black. The stem of this plant is a bit spiked, skin contact with pain. That's a little characteristic of "Bak Cirih"

"Bak Cirih" begitulah orang-orang di kampungku menyebutnya. Aku tak tau apa nama tanaman ini dalam bahasa melayu atau bahasa Latin/Inggris. Tanaman ini hidup di dalam rawa-rawa, daunnya lebar-lebar dan bunganya lumayan besar. Buahnya terdiri dari penampang yang terisi biji. Rasanya bijinya manis kalau masih muda, tapi kalau sudah tua bijinya keras dan berwarna hitam. Batang tanaman ini agak sedikit berduri, kalau kena kulit terasa sakit. Begitulah sedikit ciri-ciri tentang "Bak Cirih"
