Always Be Safe Than Sorry
When I used to work at the site, especially when doing works in a high rise building, the safety officer always reminds us by saying, "Accidents is like a lottery, you might not strike the winning ticket today, but there is always a possibility that you will win it in the future, if you keep trying". Same as being ignorant towards safety, you might be ok today, but who knows what will happen when you keep on repeating the same ignorant attitude.
About a month ago, I saw this news about a worker who died caused by electrocution. It was a freak accident actually. He was instructed by his boss to hang a banner in front of their office, but somehow, the ladder tilted and fell while the guy is still on top of it. The ladder then hit the overhead electrical cable and the poor guy is electrocuted and fell to the ground.
Two of his friends who was assisting him, was electrocuted too, as the ladder has became a conductor for the electricity to reach the ground. Two of them managed to escape from deathly injuries, but the other guy was pronounced dead after he reached the hospital.
I guess, the employer must have instructed his workers to put up the banner numerous of times, but this time, they were unlucky to face such an incident. Ignorance is bliss, if you are not concerned about safety, it will surely come to haunt you sooner or later. I feel sorry for the poor guy. I really hope the employer and the other workers or staffs have really learned their lessons, the hard way.

I am an Engineer working for companies that specialises in Electrical, ELV and Mechanical contract works for High Rise Buildings, Shopping Malls, Housings and Electrical Sub-Stations.
I was first introduced to Steemit in December 2017, but I was only active blogging in January 2018. Since then, I've been writing almost everyday. There is no specific title that I blog about, I write almost all types of topics that came across my mind or things that interest me. Now, Steemit is part and partial of my life. Through Steemit I began to learn new things and meet strangers that now I called friends. It's an enjoyable journey so far, and hopefully Steemit will be an enjoyable experience for you too.
