Windows Keeps Repairing Itself at Startup

One day you turned-on your computer and it automatically repairs itself. After an unsuccessful repair you restarted your computer and the same thing happen again and again.

Every Windows computer can be Affected

It can happen in any Windows computer. In Windows 10 you will be provided with solutions to choose from. You can choose to repair startup, perform a system restore or reset your computer.

What if all of them do not work? And you don't have a Windows installation media such as DVD or USB to begin with.

You can't reformat your computer because there are valuable data that reside on the hard disk drive and you can't afford to lose them.

The Solution

Fortunately, if the computer having a problem is a desktop there's a simple solution to the problem. Unfortunately, if the computer is a laptop the solution that I will discuss won't apply.

What you have to do is to remove the hard drive of the computer that have a problem then find a working desktop computer and install the hard drive as a secondary master or slave.

After installation turn-on the computer and open command prompt as an administrator then navigate to the drive that is having a problem then perform a check disk using CHKDSK command.

Type "CHKDSK /F /R" then press enter, wait for the process to finish. The CHKDSK command will check the disk, the /F parameter will fix errors on the disk, the /R parameter will locate bad sectors and recovers readable information.

After the process is finished return the hard drive then try to turn it on again. Based on my experience It should fix the error 99% of the time.

If the solution does not work you may need to reformat your computer. You can do the process in any version of Windows.
