RE: Phosphor Ethic Alkali

To be honest, I go months without using bots of any sort. Then sometimes I delve back in, for fun I suppose you could say, for promotion, or for research. One thing is unwavering - these bot comments are unsightly, though I don't flag them.

Not to mention your bot actually encourages people to purchase reversals: a strange business model. It would be better to have this information displayed on an external website, in my opinion. Notice many bots have deactivated comments. I'd recommend all bot owners to follow suit. It comes off as spam.

True... But, it’s also a form of transparency— letting people know that a post has been artificially propped up, and that votes have been purchased.

Yeah, I'm fine with that. In fact, I kind of liked the transparency bot project before it got shut down. But people can easily click to see the vote among the list of voters. (And on Busy/Steempeak, see the value of the vote right there.) Another thing is that the message isn't really that helpful - "14.65% vote" still forces people to do research to determine what the actual value was. I'd like it more if there was an estimated STEEM/SBD/USD value in the bot comment so it was actually useful to people.

I don’t know that most people are savvy or have time to click on list of voters to see if bots are involved.

Estimated value in comments is, actually, a good idea and even more transparent. But, seeing that more than one bot was used, in the comment section, also helps readers to understand that a post is not performing successfully merely on its own merits...
