His sin is that of the Serpent, which is well known for being an envious and poisonous animal, which refers to Diane's sin, envy. This is attributed to the personality of Diane, who is incredibly infuriated to think that Elizabeth and Meliodas had some romantic relationship.

  ~~Ban:~~ As the only survivor of the Forest of the Fairy King, he assumed responsibility for this, and was condemned for "destroying the forest and killing the Sacred Guardian". Curiosities

  After the years that passed from the supposed betrayal of the Seven Sins to the kingdom, the only one that was affected by time was Escanor. This is because: Meliodas is a Demon and by the same curse of the Demon King that prevents him from dying completely and ends up resurrecting. Ban is immortal and possesses eternal youth for drinking the Fountain of Youth. Diane and King are a giant and a fairy respectively and the passage of time is different for both. Merlin dominated a magic that makes time not pass for her, being eternally young. While Gowther being a doll does not age.
