EOSKnights - Full guide - Part 1

This is a first part of one of the biggest guides for EOSKnights. Why I am doing this? Well first of all I am a big fan of EOSKnights because it's actually one of the games outhere that is playable, working and is getting nice updates. It's exactly a game that can be played by anybody and can showcase EOS in a very good light. After completing this whole guide I will probably start promoting it much more than just on steem, maybe I will even make a video version from it.

But this will not be any ordinary guide. The catch is that I will use my newly created EOS account and start from the beginning again as you are! Another thing I will try to do is that I am going to play the game as cheaply as possible and only use my starting capital and profits to obtain better items. Of course, if you have enough EOS you can buy the best items at the start, but where is the fun in that. :) You will also be able to track my progress as everything is visible on the EOS blockchain.

Making this guide will help me too because I will exactly know how much CPU stake is needed nowadays to play the game without blocktwitter spamming the network all the time.

Let's start!

The first problem is that EOSKnights do not support EOS account creation so you have to do it by yourself. What I will be saying right now is just one of the methods that you can use to create an account.

First of, download SimplEOS wallet from https://github.com/eosrio/simpleos/releases.

Install it. Because you will be in the SimplEOS wallet for the first time it will offer you to create a code. This code is useful because anyone with it can create an account for you. If you want me to create an account for you please contact me on t.me/mysteor. Bear in mind that I will have to ask you for a little bit of STEEM or SBD to create your account because they are not really free to make. We can talk about it more privately on telegram. Alternatively you can use websites that offer you creating an EOS account, but they are actually pretty expensive in my opinion. One of those websites is https://eos-account-creator.com

The interesting thing is that even though it costs EOS to make an account on the EOS blockchain it's really worth it in the long run. I can't imagine how expensive would it be to play this game on the ethereum blockchain with its transaction fees.

So now you have an EOS account, but we are not done yet. Now you have to download Scatter from https://get-scatter.com. Bear in mind that with this guide you will be able to play only in your browser, but I think the guide would not change that much for playing the mobile version of the game.

Open Scatter and create a password. Write everything down. Don't worry if you forget your password as you can login to Scatter with the seed too. Now in Scatter you have to go to the "Key Pairs" and create a new one. Put your EOS private active key to the private key tab and hit save. After that go to "Identities" and edit it (it's the pencil button).

In "Identities" scroll down a little bit and you will see "EOS Mainnet". Below that is written "none". You have to click it and then select the active keypair you just made. After that hit the import button and select the active account. Click save and your Scatter is now ready too!

Now you can visit game.eosknights.io website, where it will ask you for an identity request. Choose your identity and accept it.

And finally you are ready to play the game! It wasn't that hard, was it?
