My OPINION about EOSDAC
I became aware of EOSDAC tokens when it arrived in my ethereum wallet that contained my EOS tokens. Driven by curiosity, I started to do a little bit of digging about it.
I also joined their Telegram group and kept reading all messages inside it. While most of the messages are about how to get tokens, why my token has not arrived, what exchanges support eosdac tokens, etc...I also find some interesting informations that really open my mind.
One impression about the Telegram group admin in EOSDAC is they are very patient, dilligent, and able to answer all question directly and thoroughly. I couldn´t count how many times they answered the same questions from different persons without being bored! hahaha
and in that group also I learnt about this great guy @lukestokes , who happened to be part of EOSDAC launch team. From him I learn about DAC, constitution and many other things which is mind blowing!
he also posted a video link below discussing his opinion about vote buying:
https://steemit.com/eos/@lukestokes/is-the-eosdac-airdrop-a-form-of-vote-buying
And believe me, I watched the whole 22 minutes!. And from what I learnt about his opinion, I found the idea of EOSDAC is very pure and idealistic.
This is very very very good if the team can achieve what he said in the video. However, I also find it a bit naive (in my opinion) because most of the people in the crypto world are little guy like me who wanted to make money so this vision of EOSDAC probably will be good for 2-3 years before greed and fear comes in and the team has to be ready for that.
I don´t know the future but for now I am supporting EOSDAC´s team and will vote for them to be a Block Producer.
Thanks for the shout out. :)
Curious, did you also watch the Steven Pinker TED talk I linked to in my post? The greed and fear concern may not be based on data or facts, but on how our perceptions of reality are manipulated.
I am watching it right now, it is very interesting and i want to learn more about it especially DAC, EOS and blockchain.
Talking about data or facts, that reminded me of the current US president who use the emotions of the people so he can get elected. Data or facts are not important for him and now we are living in post-truth world :D
I do pray that you will be able to guide EOSDAC for many years and guard them from being abused or at least create a law that prevent people abusing it but in the end, all organisations will divert from it´s original vision.
So until that time come, we must do our best to improve it
